Research Assistant to Connie Butler, Associate Curator of works on paper. Expanded the museum library’s holdings to reflect the recently acquired social documentary photographs of the Ralph M. Parsons Foundation collection. Research and writing for exhibitions on John Gutmann and Aaron Siskind.

Nash Editions, Manhattan Beach, Oct. 1995–June 1997.
Curatorial Assistant at Nash Editions, a fine art digital studio.
Responsible for organizing traveling exhibitions from the studio’s collection, including Nash’s Greatest Hits: Prints from Nash Editions by International Artists, The Photographer’s Gallery, London, Sept. 13– Oct. 18, 1996. Maintained print archive and oversaw the production of editions and portfolios.

Course Assistant. Responsible for preparing and distributing course materials, researching topics in course curriculum, and maintaining slide collection and art library.

The Friends of Photography, San Francisco, Jan.–Oct. 1993.
Museum Intern, Curatorial and Education Departments. Assisted with all aspects of exhibition design and installation for the exhibitions Annie Liebovitz: Photographs; Body Doubles: Hans Bellmer, David Levinthal, and Cindy Sherman; and Ancestral Dialogues: The Photographs of Albert Chong. Revised and consolidated Museum Collector Print Program.
Assisted in the organization of the 1993 benefit auction. Responsible for cataloguing all donations and writing condition reports and catalogue descriptions.

Curatorial Assistant (part-time), for Soho-based gallery specializing in American prints from 1930 to 1950. Assisted with development of numerous shows. Handled correspondence and catalogue preparation.

The Schomburg Center, New York, Sept. 1991–June 1992.
Curatorial Assistant to Deborah Willis, Curator of Prints and
Photographs. The collection represents African American photography from the nineteenth century to the present. Assisted in research, writing, and installation for several exhibitions. Responsible for working with outside researchers and scholars.

National Portrait Gallery, London, Aug.–Dec. 1990.
Curatorial Intern for Terence Pepper, Curator of Photography. Assisted in the preparation for the exhibition In Pursuit of Perfection: The Photographs of Dorothy Wilding. Catalogued glass negatives and prints from the Lafayette Portrait Studio Collection.
